Learn how the weekly backups available with the Virtual Private Servers work and just what data is protected.
Even if you take advantage of the most efficient software and hardware around, there's always a possibility that something may go wrong after an update, for instance. In these cases, it would be very beneficial if you have a backup of your content as you will steer clear of or limit the loss of files and you could restore the adequate operation of your sites promptly. If you use a shared web hosting account, conventional backups are created by your provider, but this isn't the situation when you've got a virtual or a dedicated server and a problem may lead to the loss of important information. To avoid this kind of cases, we provide a backup upgrade for our server solutions, so that we can keep a copy of your information safely on an independent server and restore the content when required. In this way you won't need to be worried about losing anything even when you have important information on the server.
Weekly Backup in Dedicated Servers
If you acquire one of our dedicated servers and you decide that you require a backup of your content, you may include this service with several mouse clicks and our system shall start keeping copies every week immediately. You can get the upgrade together with the web server or at some point later through your billing Control Panel in case that you do not need backups from the very beginning. The service shall give you fifty gigabytes of disk space on an independent server and this content could be restored on our end. Though we examine the components and the software before we hand over any new dedicated hosting server, you can never know if some update will not go wrong, so in the event you have important information on the server, you will be better off with this upgrade. Backups are also available with the Managed Services upgrade, which features loads of other useful management tasks we provide to our customers.
