Spam Filters in Shared Hosting
If you order a shared hosting plan from us and if you use our mail services, you’ll be able to enable spam filters for any of the email accounts that you create from the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. With only a few clicks of the mouse, you can choose between five different levels of protection. In case you start receiving spam, you can begin with the lowest one and then gradually increase the level till you stop receiving spam. We rely on one of the best and most popular spam filters out there called SpamAssassin. It ‘scans’ the header section and the body of each message that you get and determines a spam score, based on which it either erases a certain message or allows it to reach your mailbox. Hepsia will also allow you to configure custom email filters and either get rid of undesirable messages or send them to a 3rd-party address like email@example.com where you can check them once more at a later time.
Spam Filters in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you get a semi-dedicated server package from our company and if you set up one or more mailboxes with any of the domains hosted in your account, you’ll be able to activate the powerful, 5-level SpamAssassin spam filter that we provide and keep all unwanted emails away from your mailbox. This option is accessible through the Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel and it can be activated or deactivated for any mailbox whenever you like. You can also adjust the level of protection with several mouse clicks in case junk messages still appear in your inbox or the spam filter starts removing legitimate messages. Since you can select whether the spam should be erased instantly or forwarded to another email account, you can set up firstname.lastname@example.org, for example, and check all filtered messages there, so as to make sure that you will not omit an email that you require. The emails that the spam filter allows to go through will still be delivered to your mailbox.
