A catch-all email mailbox is one that collects all the emails sent to nonexistent addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and thus you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an outdated email address or has made a mistake. The drawback of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of unsolicited messages, but this problem can be rectified using anti-spam protection software. It is also vital to know that a mailbox with an active catch-all functionality cannot forward incoming emails to a third-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

Configuring a catch-all email mailbox will be incredibly easy in case you have a shared hosting with our company. You can activate this option through our powerful, yet intuitive Email Manager, which is part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you will manage the hosting account itself. You will see all the email addresses that you have created listed in alphabetical order and on the right-hand side of each of them there will be a small-size "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly notify you whether a particular mailbox gets all the emails for a given domain or not. With one single mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable this option whenever you wish. If there is enabled email forwarding or in case a different mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a given domain, you will receive a warning text message from our system. The latter will not replace/deactivate anything automatically and without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with each and every semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will allow you to configure a catch-all mailbox without any difficulties even in case you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be next to each mailbox that you’ve created with your domain names in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will let you know if you’ve already set up a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding enabled. If you decide that you don’t want the feature any longer, you can remove it by clicking again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
