.NAME Domain Names

Launched in 2001, the .NAME top-level domain name extension is the sole TLD intended for personal websites only. These domain names can include personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are known by. At first, just 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you planned to reserve john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already purchased 3rd-level domains remained functional.

Through our firm, you can secure your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to alter the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already registered domain to our company if you receive its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registrar and we will renew it once the transfer has been finalized. There are no specific requirements on who can register a .NAME domain, but in order to maintain the idea behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.
